Get to Know Me
I’m a graphic designer currently focused on creative leadership, branding, and marketing. My experience and love of design go all the way back to the 90’s (not to date myself). Throughout my career I have worked in both print and digital, in big teams, as well as on my own. My personal philosophy is that the more we can know about what we’re designing and why, then we will create better designs. Being naturally curious about everything makes us better designers, and better people.
Now I don’t want to sit here and bore you with stories about why I enjoy being a designer and a creative director (even though I love it!) or that I really do have a passion for typography (but seriously look at a nicely italicized slab serif!), or espouse all of my professional experience (you can keep scrolling for that, or even download my resume).
This is the part where I want to share a little bit about who I am, and what I’m like outside of work! During the warm months I can often be found in the garden tending to my tomato plants, and other vegetables, or doing other chores around the yard. In addition to yardwork, I also enjoy going to concerts, playing video games with my friends, and being terminally online.
Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be some rambling personal essay, just some info to help you get to know a little more about me. And of course if you want to know me more, feel free to follow me on LinkedIn, Instagram, or even BlueSky!
Or simply reach out directly and ask me questions!

Professional Experience

Community Choice Financial (2019 – 2025)
Community Choice Financial is a conglomerate of more than a dozen customer facing brands that focus on short term lending, and serving unbanked or underbanked customers.
When I originally started my role at Community Choice Financial (CCF), it was actually with a company called CURO Financial. Several of our brands, and most of our marketing team were acquired by CCF in the Spring of 2022.
My first title was Digital Graphic Designer, and for the majority of the time I was in that role, I was the sole digital designer. I was responsible for all of our digital output, which had me working with the Comms team to create emails, the Internet Marketing team to develop digital advertising assets, and to eventually overhaul the SpeedyCash website. This also involved working with the print design team to update the core brand, making it more colorful, more modern, and friendlier.
When we were acquired I was promoted to Senior Digital Designer. At this point I took the lead on the majority of design projects, and drove the creative direction of our brands. This role also saw me offering art direction and mentorship to the junior creatives on the team.
In the Spring of 2023 I was promoted to the Manager of Brand and Creative, and took over leadership for the entire Creative Team, which included digital designers, print designers, and copywriters. In this role I was responsible not just for leading mentoring the team creatively, but also for their day to day administrative support. I was also fully responsible for our creative output, and ensuring that all customer facing materials were of a high quality, and on brand, for all customer facing brands.
Prime Concepts Group (2017 – 2019)
Prime Concepts Group (PCG) is a small boutique agency that works primarily with public speakers, or other clients, who are a single person, personal brand.
As the only Graphic Designer at PCG during my time there, I was responsible for all of our client work. Typically I worked directly with our clients to evolve, or in some cases, create their personal brands.
I also worked alongside copywriters, and developers to bring client websites to life. Often balancing time, and budgets, against design options, negotiating what things were a “must have” and what we can change to accommodate our time frames.
Visvo Agency (2015 – 2017)
Visivo was a small local agency, serving a wide variety of clients in the Wichita, KS and Newton, KS areas.
My role was Creative Director for the agency, serving as the go between, between clients and the Creative Team. I worked directly with clients to provide customer service, capture their feedback, and strategize on campaign and project execution. I would bring this feedback to our team of in-house, and freelance designers, providing art and creative direction.
Once clients were brought on board, or new campaigns were started, I project managed all of the creative projects. I was responsible for making sure all projects came in on time, and on budget.
Mathur Media (2012 – 2015)
Mathur Media was a small agency in Wichita that focused on media buying services for their clients, while also offering creative services on an as needed basis.
Working as the only on-staff designer in the agency, I touched nearly every client project, often working alongside account executives, or directly with clients on projects. This entailed building strong relationships with clients, as well as vendors, to make sure we were able to deliver artwork to vendors on deadline.
